Ingredients International to Merge with LSI Specialty Products
Des Plaines, Illinois – Ingredients International, a division of Chicago Sweeteners Inc., is pleased to announce that on March 2, 2009, it will be merging its operations with those of LSI Specialty Products, San Leandro, CA. LSI Specialty Products, founded by Al Saroni, Jr. and Warren Mooney in 1962, is the premier processor and distributor of corn sweeteners, sugar, molasses and liquid invert sugar in the West.
Ingredients International, founded in 1978 by Bob Akins and Bob Alexander, offering distribution points in Northern and Southern California, Utah, Oregon and Washington, is a broad line distributor of food and fine ingredients, specializing in excipients for the nutritional trade and commodity ingredients for the food and beverage markets. The combined companies will operate under the name LSI / Ingredients International.
